Prepress File Prep Specialist

Overview:
AlphaGraphics South Charlotte is looking for a detail-driven individual to join our team as a Prepress File Prep Specialist. While this is not a graphic design or inherently creative role, it is a critical behind-the-scenes position that handles customer files and ensures documents are properly formatted, proofed, and are print-ready to accurately run on our machines. If you love working with digital files, assisting precise workflows, and being part of a team, this job is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review incoming artwork and verify print readiness (resolution, bleed, color mode, sizing, fonts, etc.)
- Make minor technical adjustments to meet production standards—not creative design changes
- Prepare and organize files for production team
- Communicate with account managers about missing assets or inconsistencies
- Maintain file structure, naming conventions, and data accuracy within our workflow system
- Perform quality control on proofs prior to production
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and consistency; thrives on accuracy
- Familiarity and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of products particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop
- Ability to follow established procedures without deviation
- Experience in print production or prepress environment a plus
- Comfortable with repetitive, process-based tasks
