Prepress Technician

Commercial printing facility seeking skilled Prepress Technician to join our Production Team.

The Prepress Technician is essential in ensuring files they are accurate, properly formatted, and press ready. The Prepress Technician is responsible for preflight of all work, making adjustments for color accuracy, image quality and layout consistency. Will set up impositions, plates and digital files for offset, digital and large format equipment.  This position requires someone highly detail oriented, organized, and can manage multiple projects at once. 

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
 Minimum 2 years experience in prepress or graphic production
 Experience with RIP software and imposition tools (Prinergy, Ramage, Preps or similar)
 Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Word,
Excel, and Publisher
 Experience with Adobe Acrobat production plug-ins (Enfocus, and Quite) is a plus
 Experience with personalized database printing (variable data printing) is a plus
 Working knowledge of HTML, Java/JavaScript, and Web development a plus
 2- or 4-year trade school acceptable; College/university degree preferred;
